Up for bid is the Corvette Hood Support Safety Pin/Flag that will work on any 1953 through 1971 Corvette.  This is a great addition to any Corvette show car or daily driver and a great way to protect your investment.  The pin/flag will prevent the hood support from unlatching if blown by the wind or bumped by a spectator, judge or yourself.  The Safety Pin/Flag works great for Bloomington Gold, NCRS, NCCC, Show and Shine or any other type of judging. It will also keep your hood open when working under the hood in the garage. I started selling these at Corvette meets several years ago after watching a 1971Corvette hood slam down and crack at a meet in Texas.  This pin is a smaller version of the bright red “Remove Before Flight” pins used on Air Force aircraft. Don’t stick a bolt or screw driver through your hood support, use this durable high quality flag that is embroidered on both sides.  Simply slip the clevis pin in the hood support hole and place the hitch pin into the clevis pin all of which are interconnected for safety and convenience.  The red flag is easy to spot when you are ready to lower the hood. Buy with confidence from a 40 year Corvette owner and restorer. If you have any questions please e-mail me I’ll be happy to answer them.  Shipping is via USPS Priority mail in the US and Canada and First Class International Mail to Australia and Europe. Motorcycle makers revved for rebound

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

Bikes are back. After being hit a lot harder by the recession than carmakers, the motorcycle industry, more susceptible to the whims of discretionary spending, is on its way back. “Unit sales are growing for the first time in several years,” said Danny Phillips, executive vice president of Advanstar, the parent company of Progressive International, which put on last weekend's motorcycle show at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Porsche Panamera GTS arrives at LA Show

Wed, 16 Nov 2011

Porsche Panamera GTS Now that we’re a couple of years in from the launch of the Porsche Panamera, Porsche think it’s about time we got to know the hard-edge side of the Panamera, so the LA Auto Show has seen the arrival of the Porsche Panamera GTS. Just like other GTS Porsches – particularly the Cayenne GTS – it’s probably best to think of the GTS as a Turbo without a Turbo and a bit of attitude thrown in to the mix.# Despite its harder-edged stance and sporting pretensions the 2012 Panamera GTS is atill a bit of a lump, coming in at 1920kg thanks, in part, to the standard 4WD setup. But even with the lard and drive to all four wheels, the 425bhp V8 can still pick up its skirts and hustle to 62mph in a very respectable 4.5 secondsa and on to a top speed of 179mph.
