IPL: Infiniti spells performance with new custom line to debut on G coupe

Time will tell whether the IPL brand will carry the gravitas of Mercedes-Benz AMG or BMW M. But for now, it spells 18 hp and a host of sporty cosmetics. Infiniti is launching a range of athletic gear for its luxury cars, called Infiniti Performance Line.

New products to drive Porsche's sales goals

Porsche may add an entry-level sports car as part of a plan to double global sales to 200,000 units by 2018. The new four-cylinder sports car would be in addition to a small SUV and a plug-in hybrid supercar recently approved for production. Matthias Mueller, the former Volkswagen executive who took over as Porsche CEO in October, says a new product strategy will be completed by the end of March.

They’ve run out of new cars for shows after revealing the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster this week at Frankfurt, so they need to get a bit of a hustle on before the next major show if they’re going to keep their promise.
