Subaru Impreza WRX STi at Tokyo
Thu, 25 Oct 2007By Jonny Smith Motor Shows 25 October 2007 04:21 Hang on, I thought the Impreza had got even uglier? In non-WRX form it is a despicably hideous beast but this is the STi and it looks cooking. Nissan previews Resonance Detroit show concept
Fri, 11 Jan 2013Nissan has teased its Resonance crossover concept ahead of its official debut next week in Detroit. The image of the concept, which Nissan says is the latest in a series of crossover designs "fusing bold styling with a hybrid-electric powertrain," shows a sharp flowing character line running along the side as well as the L-shaped LED rear lamps that can be found on the Nissan Juke. We can also see that the Resonance features a floating roof, created by the C-pillar not joining up to the roof but curving down to leave a break to the roof, giving the impression that it is floating over the rear window.
Mini to return to the WRC in 2011 with 4x4
Tue, 27 Jul 2010Mini is back in rallying, more than 50 years after it ruled the roost at Monte Carlo and beyond, giving a huge shot in the arm to the World Rally Championship. In typically audacious style BMW has announced it will campaign the Countryman SUV rather than the standard Mini, starting with selected WRC rounds in 2011 followed by the entire 2012 season. It’s also a return to WRC for Banbury-based Prodrive, the outfit behind Subaru’s legendary WRC success, who will develop the car and run the team. Prodrive last campaigned in the 2008 season, and have been developing the Countryman since early 2009.
