Condition:Used Brand:Elgin Manufacturer Part Number:63600710 Engine(HP):7.5 Stroke:2-Stroke

Nice 1963 Elgin 7.5 hp two stroke outboard motor. These were manufactured by Scott and/or McCulloch outboards for sale in the Sears catalog and retail stores. Unique, light weight, cleverly, styled motor that foreshadowed the low profile Evinrude and Johnson outboards introduced in 1964. This motor is complete including the hood and face plate which is nearly always missing or badly damaged. There is a faintly visible hairline crack about 3-4 inches on the rear of the cowl, but not broken through. This could easily be strengthened or reinforced. It turns over, has good compression, and shifts.  It is a 53 year old fishing motor, so it is has been used, but not abused. The motor has not been run and must be picked up locally, so it has been priced accordingly.  The prop, hood, carb, or any other significant part has value beyond the opening bid. Could even make a nice conversation or display piece in your boat house, cabin, or shop. This motor can not be shipped, so local pick up in Madison, WI should be factored before bidding. Please contact with any questions prior to bidding. Thank you for looking.
