Here is the front hood catch assembly from my 63 Ford Fairlane. This is a complete assembly and is

ready to bolt into place. This assembly includes the top mounting plate, the hood catch/release assembly

and the vertical mounting bracket. This assembly was disassembled, cleaned, blasted down to the metal

and each piece has two coats of under-hood flat black. The assembly looks GREAT and operates just

like new. The assembly will be shipped in three pieces so as to reduce the box size and shipping cost.

Now in its fifth year, the annual design awards ceremony hosted by Interior Motives magazine was held on the second press day of the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The awards are open to design students from around the world and are judged by senior designers from the world's leading carmakers and suppliers. The competition encourages students to submit their work in any of nine different categories, with the emphasis on interior design.

Le Mans champ: laser lights are the future

Three-time Le Mans 24 Hours race champion Allan McNish has told us that technology first trialled at the world famous endurance event often makes it on to road cars – and this year’s big thing will be laser lights. Speaking ahead of Le Mans 2014, McNish said that racing is more relevant to everyday cars than people think – with features from seat belts to windscreen wipers debuting at the race. Mazda 3 saloon unveiled at LA Auto Show

A five-door hatchback (favoured in Europe) will be shown at the Bologna motor show in December 2008, and form the basis of a hot MPS model. The current 3 is Mazda’s best-selling vehicle, accounting for one third of the Japanese manufacturer’s sales (and a total of 1.8 million units over the past five years).
