FORD HUBCAPS 14"

THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  TWO CAPS ARE INCLUDED.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  WE TRY TO BE AS HONEST AND COMPLETE IN OUR DESCRIPTIONS AS WE CAN.  THESE ARE UNRESTORED CAPS IN DECENT OVERALL CONDITION.  GOOD CAPS FOR THE VEHICLE MISSING THEM.   THEY SUFFER FROM SOME  TYPICAL WEAR INCLUDING  MANY LITTLE DINGS, BB TO FINGERPRINT IN SIZE FOR THE MOST PART, AND SOME SCRATCHES ON EACH.  THEY ALSO HAVE SOME COLOR WEAR AND DDISCOLORATION IN THE CENTERS.  THE CHROME RINGS AROUND THE CENTERS HAVE PITTING.  TYPICAL OF CAPS FROM THIS ERA.  ANYWAY, THEY ARE NOT PERFECT FRIENDS, NONE OF THESE OLD CAPS ARE.  HOWEVER THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE UNRESTORED EXAMPLES THAT WOULD FILL THE VOID IF MISSING THEM.   COOL WALL ART TOO.

COOL EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION, I RATE  TWO OF THESE CAPS A 3.   PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED BEFORE BIDDING.  THANKS!

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COMBINE SHIPPING!

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 9 years of selling over a 7000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Porsche 960 & Porsche Pajun on the way

Thu, 19 Jul 2012

A Porsche source has confirmed that Porsche are working on a smaller Panamera – the ‘Pajun’ – and a mid-engined Porsche 960. Now that Porsche has finally become part of VW, it can move forward with its plans to fill every supercar niche in the same way Audi is in a mission to fill – and create – every premium car niche. With two new models already officially confirmed as on the way – the Porsche Macan (a smaller Cayenne) and the Porsche 918 – Porsche’s minds are now firmly focused on the next two new models from Stuttgart – the eighth and ninth models in the range.

Autoweek archives: Pontiac Firebird Type K wagon

Mon, 03 Oct 2011

This Autoweek archives piece comes from March 1980, when Bob Irvin and Bob Hall explored the fabled--and failed--Pontiac Trans Am wagon. In the late 1970s, the Pontiac Firebird Type K (Kammback) was explored as a way to inject some life into the aging F-body lineup. After a concept build by Pontiac Motor Division, vice president of design Bill Mitchell had two 1977 models constructed in Italy by famed Ferrari designer Sergio Pininfarina.

2014 Mercedes S Class REVEALED

Wed, 15 May 2013

There’s not a huge more to say about the new S Class than we already have, but it does look convincing. It takes styling cues from many of Mercedes latest models, but even without the big bulbous wheel arches at the back it’s still very recognisable as an S Class – just a new one. We already know much about what ‘s likely to be on offer at first – S350, S400 and S500 – and what’s to come – S250, S63 AMG, S Class Pullman – and that we’ll see, in due course, both an S Class Coupe and a convertible S Class.
