I am retiring and its time to sell alot of the goodies my late husband and I have accumulated over the years. Up for sale is a 1963 Oldsmobile Fiesta 88 Holiday Starfire 98 AM Radio with factory rear speaker fader, which allows you to balance your music from front to rear speaker. This radio is not for a Cutlass. There is a tag on the side of the radio that says Model 982136. There is a note on the bottom of the radio that says "Serviced - Plays Good!". We picked up this radio and alot of others over the years at various venues. I recently had it tested and it plays great up and down the dial! The case is clean with almost no rust. All mechanicals work as they should. The station presets work as they should. The nose, lens and pushbuttons look to be in nice condition with some very light pitting on the chrome nose. The radio comes with four usable knobs as shown. Center to center distance on the shafts is approx. 6 l/4". I'm selling the radio without a warranty because the electonics is over 35 years old and I don't trust old electronics. I will be putting up more radios from my late husbands estate for sale this week and next week. The radio you see in the picture is the one you get. Please read description and ask any questions before purchase. Buyer pays fixed rate shipping of $15.00 for USPS Priority Large Flat Rate Shipping (Lower 48 states only). I carefully wrap my radios in Bubble Wrap to insure safe shipping. I accept Paypal. Any questions, feel free to email me. Good Luck and Thanks for Looking!!      RA-568

Intermot Motorcycle Show 2004

Wed, 23 Mar 2005

Motorcycle design is a term that conjures up many images to different people. To the majority North Americans, designing a motorcycle suggests a garage where several enthusiasts resembling the hit TV show Orange County Choppers assemble bikes based on the Harley Davidson model, with acres of chromed after market parts and hand lacquered custom paint jobs.To many others no thought is given at all to how the shapes of the bikes on the street came into being. The reality is that the major motorcycle manufacturers employ professional designers and serious technology the same way as in the car industry does, even if the final product is so different.
