Condition:New other (see details) Brand:Pontiac Warranty:No Placement on Vehicle:Front Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Surface Finish:cast iron

Rare 1963 Pontiac 421 Service Replacement block in NOS / unused condition.  Block casting shows 544988 consistent with 1963, and a cast date of B154, which would reference a February 15, 1964 casting date.  Block is stamped SR83093 denoting a Service Replacement.  Bores measure between 4.080 and 4.096, measured both front/ back and left/right (see pic).  Cylinders appear unbored with normal cast finish.  Standard bore for 421 is 4.093, so this should clean up very easily with .030.

Armasteel crank 9770488 in great condition as seen in pics.  Caps and bolts from separate block included, surface oxidation only which should clean up easily.  Align bore will be required during assembly.

Block is an extremely rare find and will allow for a true 'numbers matching' detail for a Super Duty clone or accurate restoration.  Shipping will be via freight to your loading dock.  Thanks for looking and be sure to ask any questions you have.

Skoda Fabia

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Skoda gave us its first indication of the new Fabia's design direction at the Geneva show earlier this year. There, its new city car's lines were upscaled to fit the VisionC coupé concept, memorable as much for its nuclear green paint job as its sharpened surfaces. As a result, the third-generation Fabia's design springs few surprises.

China automaker Brilliance halts Europe exports, executives say

Thu, 29 Apr 2010

Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd., BMW AG's partner in China, has halted its car exports to Europe after its BS4 and BS6 sedan met with a cool reception, and there is no timetable for a resumption, senior executives said on Thursday. The head of Brilliance's former importer for Europe, Hans-Ulrich Sachs, told Automotive News Europe in March that another reason the automaker struggled is because it refused to lower the starting prices on the BS6 and BS4. "They didn't want to lose any money per car," said Sachs, the former boss of the now dissolved import company HSO Motors Europe.

GM sees no potential buyers for Saab

Thu, 08 Jan 2009

General Motors has found no interested buyers for Saab, sources familiar with efforts to sell the Swedish brand say. GM put Saab under "strategic review" as part of the long-term viability plan submitted to Congress last month. In a subsequent interview with Automotive News, GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said strategic review is "code for we realize they're not working and something needs to be done." GM has not announced a decision to sell the brand, but has quietly shopped it around, the source said.
