Ford shows Edge Concept

Ford took the wraps of the Edge Concept at the LA Auto Show, and the company says the crossover offers strong hints at the next-generation production Edge. The big news is a sleeker shape, front and rear LED lights, better fuel economy and technology that includes self parking and obstacle avoidance. The self parking is a prototype technology using sensors that allow the Edge to be parked at the touch of a button, or remotely.

The cosmetically hotted-up Rapid is the latest VW Group car to get a modified version for the Wörthersee enthusiast’s show, though CAR hears the Rapid won’t get a production performance version. Honda shows off Concept C and Concept S at Beijing motor show

Alongside the Chinese introduction of its new ILX and RDX, Honda rolled out two concept vehicles that the company says presage new models to hit the Chinese market. The “C” in “Concept C” apparently stands for “cool,” “challenge” and “China,” which is er, um, iffy, but at least it's a departure from Honda's as-of-late anodyne exterior design. Though it rather closely resembles a late-model Hyundai dressed up in Super Sentai garb, Honda claims that the C's design was inspired by a dragon.
