GM-CDN Interactive Competition Update

The GM-CDN Interactive Competition is in full flow, and by the time you read this, over 50 entries will have been uploaded to the competition site. We encourage all of our readers to head over to the Car Design Contest page to see what's going on and participate. Hyundai HND-9 Concept

Hyundai has premiered its new HND-9 concept at the Seoul Motor Show. The luxury sports coupe concept, designed at the carmaker's Namyang Research and Development Center in South Korea, is its ninth concept model and is expected to preview the next Genesis coupe. The HND-9 fastback is 4,695mm long, 1,890mm wide, 1,340mm high and sits on a wheelbase of 2,860mm.

Volvo XC90 (2015)

After three highly-regarded concept cars and a rather extended gestation period, the first of the new generation of Volvo cars, the XC90 SUV, has been unveiled. Designed – at least latterly – under the auspices of Thomas Ingenlath, who joined the sole remaining Swedish brand from VW as its design director in March 2012, the new Volvo XC90 is the first to sit on the company's new, modular SPA platform (Scalable Product Architecture, if you're interested). This allows more freedom in terms of proportions, with a particularly generous axle-to-dashboard distance.
