As you can see by my photos, this is a nice complete factory original tachometer, that was removed from the console of a Mid 1960's Oldsmobile 442.
This 6,000 RPM Tachometer is in nice original condition. It's original outer lens is uncracked, crystal clear & scratch & fog free. has not been tested but took it out of a wrecked car The brushed finish metal case is in good original condition but does have some pitting on the bezel Please see my close up photos of these areas. Last week Lexus came over all enigmatic and sent us a teaser photo of a concept car heading for the Detroit Auto Show in January which, they say, heralds a new design direction for Lexus. All we got was a tight front three-quarters shot of the new car showing a car which appeared to be dynamic and sporty, and with more than the odd design cue from the LFA.
Design Contest: Stile Italiano Giovani 2008

Open to non-professional car designers and design students worldwide, the competition - which began in May 2008 - culminated in a collection of 20 designs selected by a jury composed of representatives from leading Italian coachbuilders. Porsche 917 Concept (First Prize) Adriano Stellino First prize was awarded to Adriano Stellino for his Porsche 917 concept.
