For your consideration is an Oldsmobile V8 Distributor. #1112106

This is a point type distributor. It was removed from a good running car years ago, and has been sitting on a shelf. I'm selling it "as is" or for a core to be rebuilt.

This distributor is in very good condition, it just hasn't been used for so long and has not been checked since storage.

The date code was not stamped very deep and is not legible, see pictures.

'Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish': A tribute to Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

Sat, 08 Oct 2011

The recent passing of Steve Jobs, co-founder and CEO of Apple, has found us mourning the loss of a visionary who brought not only technology and functionality to the product design industry, but also transcended the boundary into automotive design. Mon, 31 Mar 2014

Tucked away on page nine of the May 9, 1964 issue of Competition Press and Autoweek is an intriguing little story: “FIA Rejects Ford Bid for Homolgation [sic].” At the time, the Mustang had just made its world debut, but Ford was already scheming to fold the car into its “Total Performance” campaign. The automaker apparently proposed to do so with a fleet of crazy fiberglass-bodied touring cars. According to Competition Press, Ford tried to get the new Mustang classified as a touring car for international racing.
