Oil filter mount from a 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 429 engine with a/c; appears to be in good usable condition.  Was removed from an engine that had been recently run.

GM moves Nesbitt back to design group in management shake-up

General Motors has made big changes to its top management structure, splitting apart its sales and marketing activities and naming new bosses for each discipline. The goal is to reduce layers of management under Mark Reuss, GM's president for North America. Among the key changes: -- Designer Bryan Nesbitt, who was made chief of the Cadillac brand last fall, is going back to the design group.

An internal reshuffle in Munich has seen Christopher Weil appointed head of exterior design for Mini, replacing Marcus Syring who takes up a similar position at Rolls-Royce. The changes see Weil return to Munich after just over a year as director of automotive design at BMW DesignworksUSA in LA. His portfolio includes the BMW 328 Hommage, F30 3 Series, 5 Series GT, current 7 Series and 4 Series.

Fourth Chinese Auto Design Competition launched

The fourth Chinese Auto Design Contest officially launched in Beijing last week. Sponsored by China's Society of Automotive Engineers, the China Industrial Design Association, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Beijing Fengtai District People's Government, the competition is the largest and most authoritative state-level professional event. Held biennially, this year's Chinese Auto Design competition is divided into two categories: Design Innovation (which judges current vehicles created by automakers) and Creative Design.
