PRICE LOWERED $50.00!  NEW PHOTOS OF THE TAILLIGHT REFLECTOR LENSES ADDED!  FOR A LIMITED TIME,  I WILL ALSO THROW IN A PAIR OF THE LARGE '64GP TAIL LIGHTS!  THEY HAVE "BLUE DOTS" IN THE MIDDLE OF EACH OF THEM, BUT THE DOTS ARE NOT SEEN WHEN INSTALLED, AND THE TAIL LENSES ARE VERY FUNCTIONAL (STILL SEALED).

DESCRIPTION
:  THIS TAILLIGHT LOUVERED PANEL IS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT.  LOOKS LIKE IT WAS NEVER BUMPED OR GRAZED WHILE INSTALLED.  THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE MOUNTING PINS/STUDS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE (I tried to picture those that are broken).  IT SHOULD MOUNT RIGHT UP TO ANY 64GP, JUST THE WAY IT IS, AND BE AS TAUGHT AS THOUGH IT STILL HAD ALL THE MTG PINS.  THE ONLY THINGS IT EVENTUALLY NEEDS (FOR SHOW CONDITION) IS TO HAVE THREE SMALL HOLES (where mounting studs broke off)  WELDED CLOSED/SMOOTHED, AND FOR THE PANEL TO BE RECHROMED.  IT DOESN'T HAVE MANY PITS, WHEN COMPARED WITH OTHERS OUT THERE (ALMOST 50 YRS OF AGE).  THE FRONT SIDE LOOKS PRETTY CLEAN TO ME; JUST SMALL PITS AMONG THE CLEF BARS THAT SHADE THE TAIL LIGHTS.  NOT THE BIG ROSE-BUDDED PITS THAT YOU'D EXPECT BACK EAST (AND IN THE MIDWEST - "SALT BELTS" OF THE U.S.).
THE CLEF BARS ARE PAINTED ON THE HORIZONTAL LEDGES.  THIS AUCTION INCLUDES THE SLIM RED REFLECTORS (PACKED SEPARATELY IN THE BOX - NOW PICTURED).   IF YOU NEED THE TAIL LIGHT LENSES, PLEASE CONTACT ME.  I COULD ADD THEM TO THE AUCTION.  TOO MUCH WORK DIGGING FOR & GETTING THEM IN THIS AUCTION AT PRESENT...

NOTE:  BOX WILL BE ABOUT 64" LONG WITH CUSHIONING.  IF YOU NEED IT SOONER THAN THE 10 DAY BIZ DAY HNDLG STIPULATED, PLEASE CALL ME (we can type up an agreement afterward).
SHIPPING/PACKING:  BECAUSE I'M IN THE CORNER OF THE COUNTRY, SHPG COSTS MAY BE A BIT MORE.  SETS OF LARGE HUBCAPS (AND LARGER ITEMS) MAY BE DIMENSIONALLY WEIGHTED (i.e., charged more than actual weight) BY UPS IN ANY BOX 16”x18”x18” OR LARGER (> 5183 TOTAL INCHES).  I DON’T CHARGE A SEPARATE HANDLING FEE (FOR DOMESTIC SHPMTS), SO WHEN YOU SEE THE EFFORT I WENT THROUGH TO PACK THIS ORDER, YOU'LL THINK IT'S A BARGAIN.   I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING, IF ITEMS CAN BE SHIPPED TOGETHER SAFELY (by deducting approx. 50% of the lesser shpg cost for each additional item).  NOTE THAT EBAY’S SHIPPING CALCULATOR DOESN’T ADD THE EXTRA CHARGES IT COSTS ME FOR RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY, RURAL RESIDENTIAL, OUT-OF-SERVICE AREA, INSURANCE, AND FUEL SURCHARGE, AND I PAY A COMMISSION OUT OF THE SHPG PRICE.  SO I’M OFTEN UNDERSTATING THE ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COST IN THE QUOTE.  THEREFORE, IT IS MY PREROGATIVE TO USE A DIFFERENT SHIPPER THAN THAT LISTED IN THE AUCTION (e.g., U.S.P.S. instead of U.P.S.), IF I FEEL THE ITEM CAN BE SHIPPED MORE EFFECTIVELY BY OTHER MEANS (i.e., more cheaply, or in pre-fab cartons, such as those used by U.S.P.S.).  I ALSO HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE FOR ANY RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS THAT INCURS THE ADD’L “RURAL” OR “OUT OF NORMAL DELIVERY AREA” SURCHARGE.  THESE SURCHARGE COSTS RANGE FROM $2.75 TO $3.50 NOW!  RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY COSTS ME $2.80 ALONE, AND I ABSORB IT (DON’T CHARGE THE BUYER).  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT ANYTIME: 6one9-442-2800.  PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE IF I CAN'T GET TO THE PHONE!  THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR BUSINESS & COOPERATION...

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  WELCOME!  IF THE SHPG QUOTE SEEMS A LITTLE HIGH, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING.  IT TAKES ME QUITE A BIT OF EXTRA TIME TO SEND A PKG OUT OF THE U.S.; A VERY NOMINAL HNDLG CHARGE’S BEEN ADDED.  I WILL SEND PHOTOS OF PACKAGING DETAIL (IF REQUESTED).

LAYAWAY OPTION & PAYMENT TERMS:  YOU MUST MAKE A PAYMENT FOR THIS ITEM (at least 50% down) WITHIN 48 HOURS.  I WILL ALLOW UP TO 30 DAYS (90 days, if pre-arranged) FOR THE BALANCE DUE TO BE PAID.  Thank you for your cooperation...

FEEDBACK:  MY REWARD IS THE SATISFACTION OF HAPPY BUYERS, AND MY GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE 5 STAR RATINGS.  THERE IS NO RATING FOR HOW WELL A BOX IS PACKED (CUSHIONED), AND THAT IS WHERE I EXCEL. IF THERE IS ANY DELAY IN SHPMT, PLEASE CONSIDER HOW WELL I PACKED THE ITEM(S), AND THE HOURS I’VE SPENT.  I’VE BEEN KNOWN TO DOUBLE-BOX, USE DOUBLE-WALL BOXES, & WRAP THINGS 3 DIFFERENT WAYS.  IN 34 YRS OF SHPG (OF EVERY VEHICLE PART AND/OR SHEET METAL/FRAME/BODY SECTION IMAGINABLE, AND WITH EVERY AIR OR GROUND CARRIER & TRUCKING FIRM YOU’VE EVER HEARD OF), I’VE RARELY EVER HAD A DAMAGED SHPMT!  I KINDLY & HUMBLY ASK THAT YOU LEAVE A RATING OF *****, IF YOU DO LEAVE A RATING.

FYI:  IN 2011, I DONATED ALMOST HALF OF MY YEAR’S EBAY SALES RECEIPTS TO THE JAPAN EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI RELIEF FUND…

Vauxhall Ampera Hybrid – No range anxiety

Tue, 15 Jun 2010

The Vauxhall Ampera goes on a 350 mile run We’ve been moaning quite a bit about the claims being made by car makers for their electric cars. We understand that a big drawback for buyers is ‘Range Anxiety’, a completely understandable concern when you can’t exactly pull over and top up your electric. So we asked Secretary of State Philip Hammond to look at legislation on range claims by electric car makers so buyers can make a judgement on the facts, not the fiction.

India Grand Prix (2011) RESULT

Sun, 30 Oct 2011

India Grand Prix (2011) India is a fascinating country, still firmly in the past in parts and so much in the present in others. And the paradox of Formula One – with all its excesses - contrasting with streets teeming with pedal powered taxis could have been jarring. But it wasn’t.
