Myself and a couple of friends are helping a famed Pontiac engine builder (Dan Whitmore) go thru a vast inventory of used engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds etc...that he has acquired while rebuilding engines for the last 40+ years. Most of the items are Pontiac but there is some Chevy and misc. items as well. So keep posted as we will be listing more items over the next several weeks to few months as we are able to sort thru everything. Up for sale pictured with the hanging tag on it is a 1964 Pontiac GTO 389 engine block. 76XW code. Part number on the block is 9773155 with a date code of 8124. No pistons, crank, rods etc..just the bare block (old cam is still in it) with the main caps. The blocks is still standard bore and is completely rebuildable. No cracks etc...any questions please ask. I might need some time to get your answer as the parts are not at my house and I would have to make a phone call etc...Prefer local pick up but it is possible for us to attach it to a skid and ship it etc...ask for a quote. The ‘Green’ evangelists want to get us all driving electric cars to save the planet, but in the real world car drivers want a car that offers them all the practicality of a normal ICE car, but without the penalties of the poor range, high cost and inconvenience of an EV. So, with ever-rising fuel costs, it’s no wonder car buyers are willing to pay a little more for a car that offers better economy at the pumps – which plays straight in to the hands of Hybrid pioneers Toyota. The result is that Toyota and Lexus now see a full 20 per cent of their sale in Europe being hybrid cars in the first quarter of 2013, with sales of hybrid cars up a massive 82 per cent year-on-year.

Rare Ferraris head to Pebble Beach Show

Two collections of eye-catching and rare Ferraris will be reunited in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Monterey event will play host to 10 1949 166 MM Touring Barchettas and the only four TR 59 race cars believed to be in existence. The significance of the 166 MM Touring Barchetta--like that of many Ferraris--is twofold.
