This is a 300 - 2 small block Buick engine ( I believe to be 1967 vintage) I purchased as a spare for a Skylark I no longer own.  I has been sitting in dry storage for 2 years in at a friends repair facility near my home as you see it.  I purchased it from a guy who obtained it from a friend who had turned his 67 Special into a street machine equipped with a 455 and TH 400.  The original owner no longer wanted it because he modified his Skylark as a GS clone adding the big block.  I pulled one cover when I bought it and the engine was clean under the valve cover.  I was told that the engine was a running 300 with approx 25,000 miles on it after a rebuild.  I cannnot confirm that but had reason to believe that it was a runner.  Engine comes as shown with distributor, flywheel, exhaust manifolds, spark plugs etc.  I am selling it as is where is no warranty expressed or implied.  I never heard the engine run when I bought it and you see it exactly as I purchased it 2 years ago.  It has sat on the engine hoist in a commercial garage as you see it with duct tape applied over the intake, oil filler and other openings.  Just don't have a need for it.   It can be lifted right into a pick up truck or van right on the hoist as you see it.  I am not offering shipping buyer is responsible to arrange to pick it up (Pennsylvania 18657)  I am a short distance off Interstate 81 and the NE extension of the PA Turnpike near Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and can meet and guide a buyer right to the garage where the engine is located.

I may consider lashing it to a wooden engine stand for the buyer so they can arrange for an LTL carrier of their choice to pick it up at the commercial location.  I will not be responsible for shipping arrangements. I just don't need it any more.  I have 2 other big block cars and the engine is just sitting.  Good core for a rebuild or most likely use it as it is with some service.  It is getting really hard to find this stuff any more. See my separate listing for a set of bare heads that I also had as cores for the same car.

Driven: Chevrolet Volt

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

Meeting the Chevrolet Volt could easily have been an anti-climax. This is a design that ‘feels' nearly four years old — the concept first seen in Detroit in 2007. Together with the online hype surrounding it, and the part it plays in GM's renaissance, the weight of expectation is alarmingly high.

Baby Range Rover confirmed in Land Rover shake-up

Thu, 24 Sep 2009

By Phil McNamara Motor Industry 24 September 2009 11:08 The shake up at Jaguar/Land Rover continues, with a consolidation of the brands’ Midlands manufacturing facilities announced alongside plans for more vehicles. The headline news is that Land Rover’s Solihull factory and Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich plant will be amalgamated over the next 10 years. JLR promises there will be no compulsory redundancies, and the industrial logic is compelling: consolidating production of the Range Rover/Discovery and XJ/XK/XF lines will bring around 200,000 vehicles together under one roof – still 100,000 fewer cars than Mini builds a year down in Oxford. The move will reduce JLR’s fixed costs, provide room to grow and give greater flexibility to meet the natural ebb and flow of demand. JLR has also confirmed production of the LRX, the baby Range Rover.
