2012 Mini Cooper S Coupe review notes
Tue, 09 Oct 2012EXECUTIVE EDITOR BOB GRITZINGER: Just when all the auto pundits thought the big-honkin' all-wheel-drive full-size (at least for Mini) Countryman was the first sign of Mini's impending demise, along comes the apocalypse, otherwise known as the Cooper Coupe. Though people of all ages venture that it “looks cool” or “interesting” or “fun,” none of them have had to drive it or live with it. McLaren F1 – The perfect safe haven in troubled times
Tue, 27 Jan 2009The McLaren F1 (along with its ‘Super’ brother, the LM) is considered by many to be the ultimate road car. Light, fast and enormously desirable, the F1 has been a stunning success story. Initially conceived in the late ’80s, and coming to fruition with the launch of the first road car in 1995, just 65 road-going F1s where made between 1995 and 1998, with 5 further LMs (6 if you count the prototype, which is still owned by McLaren and promised to Lewis Hamilton if he pulls of the double World Championship by winning in 2009).
Audi teases new car for Frankfurt. 2014 Audi A8 or new Quattro?
Mon, 29 Jul 2013Audi are teasing a new car for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show It does feel like September is still a long way off, but the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show is only six weeks away, and Audi are already teasing a new model for the show in a new teaser video. They’re not exactly giving much away – the video reveals just the front nearside corner of the new car – but what is it? The two most likely candidates are the 2014 A8 and the production Quattro, although there is a chance we could see a new, range-topping, Audi A9 coupe.
