Alfa Romeo Mito GTA (2009): first official picture
Mon, 23 Feb 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 23 February 2009 09:19 Alfa Romeo has managed to squeeze a remarkable 240bhp from 1742cc in its new Mito GTA concept car. It's the hot hatch version of the Mito supermini and will form the centrepiece of the Alfa stand at next week's 2009 Geneva motor show. This is the first GTA since the musclebound 147. GTA stands for gran turismo alleggerito – and this pocket rocket version of the Mito has indeed been lightened and toughened up to give it some serious performance.

Wed, 11 Feb 2009Seat Exeo ST estate By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 11 February 2009 14:36 Seat is plundering its Audi partner's back-issues cupboard again – this time for the new Exeo ST estate. This first image of Seat's Geneva show starlet confirm that the Spaniards are again turning yesteryear's Audi A4 into a bargain-basement wagon version of the Exeo. Think of the Exeo ST as Seat's contender in the Mondeo/Insignia estate class, a sector that's new ground for the Barcelona-based car maker.
Mercedes F1 at Edinburgh’s Race the Runway
Fri, 22 Aug 2014The 2012 Mercedes F1 car will be at Edinburgh’s Race the Runway 2014 event In 2013, Mercedes decided to cough up sponsorship to help the Race the Runway event at Edinburgh Airport, and it must have been a success as Mercedes are back again as event sponsors. The Race the Runway event is an opportunity for car owners to blat their cars down the runway at Edinburgh Airport and generate cash for a worthy cause – the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. Participants have to cough up a £300 donation to the charity to get the chance to see what their car can do, for which they get a free lunch as well as the thrill of flat-out driving on the runway, and can even bring a passenger along.
