You are bidding on a complete ‘65-7 Corvair A/C center vent assembly, with studs. It has been professionally rebuilt by myself using a machined METAL surround bezel.  The surround bezel is a part that is individually machined by a person out west, who only makes them on request. When I bought it about 10 years ago, he was charging $150 apiece for them. It’s highly polished, and the “chrome” look will never come off like it does with the plastic part. Just the thing for a show car or one that is constantly used.

The factory parts are in excellent condition, with only very minor imperfections on the vent casting. You’d have to look really hard to see them, and in concours, I’d expect to pull at least 95+ points.  It has never been installed in a car since it was rebuilt, and is ready to install.

I am putting a high start price and a $260 reserve on this item only because the other one sold for the same price and went on a buy it now in less than 29 hours, indicating that it was a bargain at this price. And this one is arguably even better (if only slightly) than the other one.
