£70 fine for seven-second parking gaff

A CHARITY worker has learned a pricey lesson after being fined £70 by a council for a seven-second stop on zig-zag lines outside a school. Joyce Sale was dropping off charity concert leaflets at the primary school when she was captured by a parking camera car operated by Birmingham City Council. She then received a council letter in the post with details of the penalty notice, working out at £10 for every second her car was stopped.

THE MONEY flowed thick and fast at the recent Essen Techno Classica classic car show, as Coys auctioneers sold some important cars for significant sums of cash. Headline-grabbing cars included a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta that went for €487,305, a 1963 Bentley S3 Continental “Flying Spur” for €170,825 and a 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 for €167,468. Other important classic cars that went under the hammer were a 1962 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Litre Roadster for €112,637 and a 1937 Bentley 3½ Drophead Coupe by Barker for €109,280.

The first photo of the baby swoopy-coupe Mercedes CLA45 AMG has been revealed ahead of a New York Auto Show debut in a PS4 Driveclub release. But although we’ve got the A45 AMG and all its specs already, we’re yet to see a photo of its swoopy-coupe sibling – the Mercedes CL45 AMG – even though the new CLA range has been revealed.
