Still cleaning out the garage. This is a new 1965 Impala back up lens. It is a replacement lens, not an original. The manufacturer is Ser-Do out of Chicago Ill. Pat number CH-238. The lens shows some shelf wear scratches due to it not being in a box. The chrome trim and bullet are nice.

The trim ring was loose so it is secured back on with silicone adhesive. Much better than the original adhesive. There are some small black dots on the inside of the lens that are noticeable but do not detract from the lens unless you are restoring a 100 point car.

I will only ship to mainland 48 states. Shipping and handling are not included in the price of this part. Pay Pal is the only means of payment. No warranty or returns so be sure you want it before you buy. Thank you.

Mercedes recalls M-class for cruise-control fix

Tue, 05 Apr 2011

Mercedes-Benz is recalling the M-class SUV from the 2000 to 2004 model years to fix a problem with the cruise-control system. In a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Mercedes said the cruise control may not disengage when the driver steps on the brake pedal, which could lead to a crash. Mercedes says the system can still be shut off by using the cruise-control stalk or by pumping the brake pedal.

Production output decline slowing

Fri, 24 Jul 2009

By Alex Michaelides Motor Industry 24 July 2009 12:09 It appears there may be some light at the end of the tunnel for ailing car manufacturers as the most recent vehicle production figures are released. The data, presented by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), show that, while production levels are still on the decline, the pace at which they are declining is slowing. Car production figures for June 2009 are still down by 30.2% compared with this time last year, however this is an improvement on the 50.2% by which production is down so far this year.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution not dead, yet

Fri, 30 May 2014

Perhaps as a reward to the public for buying its Mirage,* Mitsubishi has disclosed that it will not, in fact, kill off the gravel road-loving Lancer Evolution as soon as we thought. According to Mitsubishi, the Lancer Evolution will -- at the very least -- live out the 2015 model year, with North American-spec cars going into production this July. We're fairly sure it's not going to be a hybrid, either.
