Upgraded to SSB Disc Brakes in the rear of my Original California V-8 Fastback.

Original factory parts are for sale. Both 5 Lug Drums are stamped FOMOCO shown in one picture

appears to be part number 862 or 86Z difficult to tell.

OEM factory backing Plates also stamped FOMOCO in oval, shown in one picture,

and part numbers are 48621KH and 48620KL stamped on backing plates in another picture.

Includes everything shown hardware, shown for 1 wheel, but sale includes hardware for both, brake pads in good condition, lots of life left.

Also includesWheel cylinders that have been rebuilt less than 4000 miles ago, no leaks. I think pads have same mileage as cylinders.

Drums have slight ridges near bottom smooth toward top.

Repops are available, but Originals for that proper restore are definitely hard to come by.

So when Diesel Car Magazine proclaims its winners each year it’s something car buyers are likely to take notice of next time they’re in the market for a new car, so it’s worth having a look at what came out on top. The VW Golf Mk 7 TDI took the gong for the best diesel car of 2013 (as well as best Medium diesel car), snatching the award out of the hands of Land Rover”s Range Rover Evoque, which won in 2012 (and wins best crossover diesel this year). Many of the cars that won an award have been on the list of winners before – like the Jaguar XF which is the best executive diesel for the fifth time and the Land Rover Discovery 4 which makes best diesel 4×4 for the fourth time – but there are new winners too with the Kia Cee’d Sportswagon winning best estate and the Ford B-Max grabbing the gong for best diesel MPV.

Are BMW & Hyundai talking engines? Reports are rife that BMW and Hyundai are in talks about co-operation on development of a new range of engines. The German press kicked it off yesterday and now Reuters have got in on the act with their own sources apparently confirming talks between BMW and Hyundai over the joint development of a new range of engines.
