The best bits of Monterey Car Week 2014: a Pebble Beach photo gallery

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

CAR’s Ben Oliver is just back from the races, auctions and shows of Monterey Car Week, culminating in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Here’s his completely unrepresentative photo-diary: as you’ll see, he got most excited by the oddball Concours de LeMons… The standard of restoration required to exhibit at the Concours de LeMons is a little lower than at the other Monterey Car Week events. LCV VALUES DEFY POOR CONDITIONS

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

AN INCREASE in demand for four-wheel drive light commercial vehicles saw LCV values rise during December 2010, according to new figures from British Car Auctions. After reaching a low-point in November, the cold weather inspired a £37, or 0.9 per cent, rise in average LCV values to £4,067. Values were also boosted by a 25 per cent decline in the number of vehicles that came to auction during the month.

2014 Ford Focus: OFFICIAL

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

The 2014 Ford Focus Facelift revealed The Ford Focus is already one of the best cars in its class, but the 2014 version of the Focus – revealed today officially after a leak over the weekend – looks set to make the new Focus even more appealing. The most obvious visual change is the adoption of the Aston Martin grill that now adorns the nose of Ford’s latest models, and that is enhanced with a new front bumper, re-profiled bonnet, slimmer headlight and a tweak to the tailgate with new lights too. Inside, the new Focus loses many of the buttons that are scattered around the current model to be replaced by controls run through the touchscreen, a new steering wheel, thicker carpets and thicker glass for better sound insulation, new sliding integrated arm rest, satin black trim and chrome detailing and the arrival of Ford’s connected SYNC 2.
