One 3890462 1966 Chevrolet HP 327 "double hump" or Camel hump cylinder head. Dated E 4 6. May 4th, 1966.
Originally used on the Chevrolet Camaro Chevelle Malibu and SS, El Camino, Corvette and Nova or Chevy II.

Go talk to your local automotive machinist and find out what it costs to do the work I have already done on this head and you will find that this is a great deal.

I started machine work on this head. Read below.

Head has been hot tanked, magnafluxed and glass beaded.

4 Martin Wells hardened seats installed on all 4 exhaust, (for 1.500 or 1.600" valves), with .007" press fit. Exhaust seats have 45 degree roughed in close to correct height, but are still slightly high. All 4 original intake seats are proud and good when 3 angle grind is done.

8 new Nylen brand cast iron guides installed and cut for .500" seals.

Guides are also cut down on top for high lift cam. (up to 650" lift).

Guides have not been reamed or honed. You will do that to fit your valves.

Press in rocker studs pulled out and stud bosses cut down and converted for screw in studs. 7/16-14 threads.

This head is not converted for guideplates. If you want to use guideplates, just cut the stud bosses down .125" more and open up pushrod holes.

Spring pockets are stock and have never been cut.

Intake and exhaust ports are virgin and have never been ground or smoothed.
Combustion side surface is excellent. No evidence of corrosion.

All exhaust and intake manifold threaded holes and spark plug holes are original and excellent.

All 4 valve cover bolt threads are excellent as well. No helicoils anywhere. No stripped threads ever.

You can also convert intake seats to 2.020 intake valves.

The exhaust seats I installed will work with standard 1.500", hp 1.600" or 1.625" exhaust valves.
There is no damage anywhere on this head. No chipped edges.
I was hoping to find a mate for this head and use these on a new engine, but have since sold off many of my project cars and will no longer have a use for this head.
All machine work is top notch, as I am a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff. I did all machine work myself when I worked in an automotive machine shop. I hold 4 ASE certs for automotive engine machinist and engine assembly.

There is approx $170.00 labor and parts already put into this head. Shipping, (which is included in the bid amount), will run $50-60. It would cost $50-75 to buy this head core. I won't lower the price. It will be at this price until it is sold.

All you need to do is find a mate for it and build it to match.

Original applications for this head are 1966 Pass 327 275hp, Chevelle 327 275hp & 350hp, Nova 327 275hp & 350hp, Corvette 327 300hp & 327 350hp.

This head is identical for 1967 and was used on the Camaro 327 275hp, 350 295 hp SS and 302 290 hp Z/28. The date is right for an early 1967 Camaro.
Please note that the HP version was 2.020" intake valves and 1.600" exhaust valves. This head originally used 1.940" intake and 1.500" exhaust valves, but can easily be converted to use the large valves.

'Gran Turismo' pays tribute to Senna with 'Ayrton's Wish'

Back in October, "Gran Turismo" announced a partnership with the Ayrton Senna Institute. We're finally starting to see the fruits of that labor -- a Senna-edition Playstation 3 bundle in Brazil notwithstanding. The first element of a month-long tribute from publisher Polyphony Digital is the above 20-minute film, "Ayrton's Wish." Two months before Imola, Ayrton told his sister Viviane that he wanted to give back to the country that so idolized him.

2014 Hyundai Elantra, Tucson FCEV and a new Nu engine at the LA Auto Show

Hyundai made a boatload of news at the Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday. The Korean company unveiled the redesigned 2014 Elantra coupe, sedan and GT, the Veloster R-Spec hatchback and some interesting info on its upcoming fuel-cell program. The biggest news is Hyundai's revamped 2.0-liter Nu engine that now makes 173 hp, instead of 145 hp, and 154 lb-ft of torque, as opposed to the 130 of the old engine.
