1966 PLYMOUTH 14" HUBCAP

THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IN THE TRUNK IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK AT THE PICS PLEASE.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  THIS IS AN UNRESTORED CAP THAT IS IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION.  IT SUFFERS FROM TYPICAL WEAR BUT IS ONE OF THE BRIGHTER EXAMPLES WE HAVE CAME ACROSS.  HONESTLY, WE RARELY FIND THESE.  THERE ARE LITTLE BB DINGS, FINGER PRINT DINGS AND LIGHT SCRATCHES. MORE NOTICEABLE IF OF GREAT CONCERN IS A LITTLE CLUSTER OF SCRATCHES IN ABOUT THE ONE OCLOCK POSITION.  MINOR ISSUES FOR MOST APPLICATIONS.  THERE IS ALSO SOME COLOR/FINISH WEAR IN THE CENTER.  THE NICE THING ABOUT THE CENTER IS IT IS NOT CRACKED UP LIKE MANY OF THESE.  ANYWAY, IT'S NOT PERFECT FRIENDS, NONE OF THESE OLD CAPS ARE.  HOWEVER IT IS A REASONABLY PRICED,  REALLY GOOD, UNRESTORED EXAMPLE THAT WOULD SERVE MANY OWNERS WELL.

COOL EXAMPLE FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE IT A 3 +++.

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which this is.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD!

WE COMBINE SHIPPING AND HANDLING ON MULTIPLE ITEMS TOO.

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 10 years of selling over a 8000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Actually, this series has been all over the place, what with changing times and missed weeks, so unless you’ve got it on Sky+ it’s going to be easy to miss. Most of the shows have been on at 9pm but if you tune in for then tonight you may just catch the closing credit.

NHTSA safety consultant dies at 64

Tue, 13 Mar 2012

Miami trauma surgeon and preeminent car-crash researcher Jeffrey Augenstein would often tell the story of the time he was talking to a crash victim who collapsed and died from hidden injuries in the middle of the conversation. The experience led Augenstein to research and then call attention to the unexpected injuries that could occur when drivers interacted with airbags. It's but one example of the achievements of Augenstein, who died recently at age 64.
