1966-1972 PONTIAC GTO/LEMANS/TEMPEST FACTORY FLOOR MATS - GREEN - SET OF 3

Up for auction are three (3) rare, hard-to-find Pontiac GTO/LeMans/Tempest factory green floor mats! Included are two (2) rear floor mats, and one (1) right-front floor mat. These rear mats have been trimmed, but only along the line for "Pontiac Bucket Seats" so they are still capable of being trimmed along the "Tempest Bucket Seats" line.

Though the floor mats are clean and in overall nice, used condition you will notice from the pictures that they show some signs of wear. Signs of wear include some chips and tears along the edges and some fading or discoloration to the green color of the mats. Despite the wear, the silver Pontiac arrowhead emblem still looks very nice.

With a light treatment of silicone spray, or an interior conditioner, these mats can be revitalized and made to look almost like new! In fact, I have already applied a light coating of DuPont Silicone spray to the front floor mat, which used to be faded very similar to the rear mats, and you can see the dramatic difference it made.

Feel free to ask any questions, and if you would like to see specific pictures please let me know. Thank you for looking and happy bidding!

Transport recovering after storm

ROAD NETWORKS are slowly getting back to normal after a day of commuter chaos caused by the hurricane-force winds that whipped across the country. All forms of transport were hit by the storm, with the disruption causing morning rush-hour misery to millions. Many roads were impassable due to fallen trees and high winds, with major routes beset by long delays.

New fuel-economy labels will baffle buyers, survey says

Wed, 06 Oct 2010

A survey released this week suggests that revised fuel economy labels proposed by federal regulators will confuse many likely car buyers -- and will emphasize the wrong information. The branding strategy firm Siegel+Gale performed an independent online survey of 456 people over the age of 18 who intended to buy a car in the next three years. Founder Alan Siegel told Automotive News that the survey was not directly requested but has been sent to the EPA and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration during the ongoing public comment period.

Simeone museum lays out history of competition sports cars

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Unlike Europe, with its multimillion-dollar manufacturer-sponsored auto museums, the United States has built its auto museums almost entirely with private money. Traveling around the country, you can find spectacular collections such as the Nethercutt in Sylmar, Calif., small enthusiast-run museums such as the Pierce-Arrow museum in Buffalo and everything in between. There are museums for hearses, microcars, tractors and every conceivable form of transport--including a museum in Ferndale, Calif., for human-powered vehicles.
