New Lexus LS600 Hybrid launches at Frankfurt
Thu, 17 Sep 2009The revised 2010 Lexus LS600h Hybrid The 2010 version of the LS600h gets a set of styling tweaks, which include modifications to the front end with LED indicators, new bumper and grill, and new fog lights. Other changes include the door mirrors and chrome detailing. This hybrid only LS600 (Lexus has said they intend only making hybrids in future ) has had improvements made to the Hybrid System including an ‘Eco’ mode which effectively turns down throttle response to make the LS600h more economical.

Fri, 09 Jul 2010The Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo 2011 debuted at Goodwood If you went down to the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend you may well have come across Alpina’s latest offering – the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo – which, following the news yesterday that BMW have retired the current generation (E60) M5 and that you’ll have to wait intil next year for the new M5 – is the only way to hop in to a brand new ‘Hot’ 5 series for at least the next 9 months. Not only is the Alpina B5 the only really quick 5 series on the market now, it will also be a lot less ubiquitous in the long run than BMW’s own M5. A lot to be said for that.
Pontiac Lives: Tire-smokin' GTOs and Trans Ams set for SoCal auction
Mon, 24 May 2010It's been almost a year since General Motors announced the end of the road for Pontiac. While the century-old brand has now joined Oldsmobile, Plymouth and a long list of other iconic makes in the automotive afterlife, the collector market remains more alive than ever. A lineup of 27 classic Pontiacs, including 17 GTOs, will cross the auction block in June.
