THIS IS A 427 CUBIC INCH 4 BOLT MAIL BLOCK WITH A CASTING DATE OF L-14-5 (DECEMBER 14,1965) WITH THE ORIGINAL VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION # 6112199 AND PRODUCTION CODE TO112IP
THIS BLOCK WAS REMOVED RUNNING FROM A CHEVELLE. THE BLOCK HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY BORED .060 OVER.
UPON DIS-ASSEMBLY WE SEEN THAT A BROKEN RING HAD SCORED #1 CYLINDER AND I HAD IT SLEEVED WITH A .060 METAL SLEEVE BY A CERTIFIED MACHINIST.
THE BORES WILL HAVE TO BE FINAL FINISH MACHINED TO THE PISTON DIAMETER YOU WILL BE USING. 
THE BLOCK HAS BEEN CHECKED,HOT TANKED,SHOT BEADED, AND IS AS CLEAN AS NEW!
ALSO INCLUDED WITH THE BLOCK ARE THE ORIGINAL MAIN BEARING CAPS COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL STUDS WITH TOWERS FOR THE OIL BAFFLE. THE ORIGINAL "NO DOWEL HOLES" TIMING COVER IS ALSO INCLUDED. NOTE IT IS MISSING THE TIMING INDICATOR TAB. (WHICH A REPLACEMENT CAN BE TACK WELDED BACK ON)

The McLaren P1 is back at the Nurburgring looking to set a new record It was brave of Ron Dennis to declare – before the McLaren P1 was anywhere close to finished – that the it would be able to lap the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes. He was obviously very confident his new baby was up to the task but, just like McLaren’s current Formula One car, the P1 seems to be just a bit off the pace. Last month we reported that it seemed the best the McLaren P1 could do at the Nurburgring was a 7:04s – a time McLaren didn’t make official – so we knew McLaren would be back with their laptops and engineers as soon as they’d figured a way to trim those last few seconds.
