Subaru showed two other concepts alongside the Levorg at the Tokyo Motor Show – both of which are interesting, neither of which came with very much information. The Subaru Viziv Evolution proposes a three-motor hybrid all-wheel drive system, similar to that under development by Honda, while the Subaru Cross Sport Design concept appears to be nothing less than a shooting brake estate version of the BRZ. Freedom Edition joins Jeep Patriot lineup for 2013

The 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition will join the Jeep lineup alongside the Wrangler Freedom Edition as another tribute to the United States military. Jeep will donate $250 of each Freedom Edition sale to military charities. Additionally, Chrysler is offering $500 cash back on the purchase of any new Chrysler Group vehicle to active members of the armed forces and veterans .

Consulatation on 20mph speed limit

BIRMINGHAM City Council has launched a public consultation on plans which could see around 90% of roads in the city given a 20mph speed limit. The authority believes the "20 is Plenty" scheme, costing around £7 million, would make residential streets safer and transport networks more sustainable. Key routes would keep higher speed limits under the long-term proposals, but public feedback is also being sought on whether the 20mph scheme should also be considered for busy high street shopping areas, around schools, leisure facilities, hospitals and public transport interchanges.
