Good quality reprint of the factory service manual as used in the dealership service area.
VG used condition showing some cover use, especially along the edges, see photo. The pages are clean, and the bindings are fine. I rate the manual 8 - 8.5 on a 1 - 10 scale, VG used but not quite excellent, as I am a tough grader. Also includes a Ford Parts Book for 1967 and back years which includes Thunderbird as well as other Ford cars and trucks. Interchange can be determined by common part #. Over 400 pages and highly illustrated, nice book, value about $25 if not more (upper left in photo) Also includes a separate reprint of the factory Wiring Diagrams, nice to have if there are electrical issues, value about $15, lower/right Also includes a Parts Available book thru 1972 from obsolete Ford Parts Inc, good reference manual, nicely illustrated, looks like interchange can be determined by the way the book is organized, clean condition, upper/right As I compose this ad, I note no other offerings on ebay of anything like this package at any price. I do note just the Shop manual priced as high as $79.99, I will list my accumulation at a lower price, take advantage. Brazilian students develop soapbox racers for Volkswagen
Wed, 18 Dec 2013Brazilian design students have competed for year-long internships at Volkswagen's Brazilian design studio by designing – and racing – soapbox cars. Established 15 years ago by Volkswagen South America design director Luiz Veiga, the Volkswagen Design Talent Contest refreshed its format for 2013 by challenging students to develop a prototype for a gravity-powered soapbox racer instead of asking for sketch and render-based proposals. According to Veiga, Volkswagen was looking for someone "capable of working away from the desk and able to create design solutions, assess and build them".
Hyundai plans bigger V8 for Genesis, Equus
Fri, 25 Jun 2010When the Hyundai Equus luxury sedan goes on sale this fall, it will be powered by the 4.6-liter Tau V8 from the Genesis sedan. But at an unspecified later date, both the Equus and Genesis sedans will get a new 5.0-liter version of the Tau engine making 429 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai also is working on all-wheel drive for its rear-wheel-drive cars, which is to say the Genesis and Equus, which ride on different versions of the same platform.
