1967 1968 1969 1970 CADILLAC RETAINER CLIP for AIR RETRACTION CYLINDER T0 CABLE from TRUNK CABLE SET

THIS LISTING IS THE RETAINER CLIP ONLY FOR THE TRUNK CABLE TO ATTACH TO THE AIR RETRACTION CYLINDER

DID I MENTION THIS IS FOR THE RETAINER CLIP ONLY !

IF YOU WANT THE COMPLETE SET ITS LISTED SEPARATELY FOR $149.99

TAKEN FROM 1969 CADILLAC ELDORADO - THE ORIGINAL TRUNK CABLE SET COMPRISING : THE AIR RETRACTION CYLINDER - CABLE - EYE LOOP FITTING ALREADY ATTACHED TO CABLE FOR INSERTION INTO THE LATCH ASSEMBLY OF YOUR EXISTING CADILLAC'S TRUNK LOCKING LATCH - THE BENT NAIL HEAD ATTACHMENT MEMBER THAT NEEDS TO BE DRILLED AND CRIMPED ONTO CABLE AFTER PASSING THE CABLE THROUGH THE SPIRAL METAL FLEX TUBE - THE AIR CYLINDER ATTACHMENT MEMBER CLIP FOR RETAINING THE BENT NAIL ATTACHMENT MEMBER ONTO THE RETRACTION CYLINDER.

I HAVE ALSO INCLUDED THE SPIRAL METAL FLEX TUBE INCASE YOU NEED IT. AS YOU SEE IT IS SNAPPED IN HALF,... BUT SINCE THIS TUBE NEEDS TO BE PERMANENTLY FIXED TO THE TRUNK BED WITH RHINO-LINER OR EPOXY,.. IT SHOULD NOT STOP THIS FLEX TUBE FROM WORKING SINCE IT WILL BE CONSTRAINED IN PLACE ONCE YOU PUT THE 2 SNAPPED ENDS NEXT TO EACH OTHER WHEN YOU SET THE FLEX TUBE IN THE EPOXY OR RHINO-LINER TO SETUP PERMANENTLY IN ITS FINAL FIXED POSITION.

MOST FOLKS WILL JUST NEED THE CABLE OR THE AIR CYLINDER,.. USUALLY THE OLD FLEX CABLE IS ALREADY IN THE TRUNK AND SOMEONE JUST NEEDS THE CABLE OR THE AIR CYLINDER OR JUST ONE OF THE ATTACHMENT MEMBERS FOR THE CABLE.

I AM ALSO LISTING SEPARATELY THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUAL ITEMS FROM THE TRUNK CABLE ASSEMBLY:

1) - THE AIR RETRACTION CYLINDER - $99.99

2) - CABLE ONLY (NEW AND CUT TO PROPER LENGTH) $49.99 (NOT SHOWN IN PHOTOS SINCE ITS JUST NEW CABLE CUT TO THE CORRECT LENGTH)

3) - CABLE WITH EYE LOOP FITTING ALREADY ATTACHED TO ONE END OF CABLE $69.99 ( EYE-LOOP FITTING INSERTS INTO THE LATCH ASSEMBLY OF YOUR EXISTING TRUNK''S LOCKING LATCH )

4) - THE BENT NAIL HEAD ATTACHMENT MEMBER $19.99 ( NEEDS TO BE 1/16" DRILLED AND USED TO CRIMPED ONTO CABLE AFTER PASSING THE CABLE THROUGH THE SPIRAL METAL FLEX TUBE)

5) - THE AIR CYLINDER ATTACHMENT MEMBER RETAINER CLIP $19.99 (FOR RETAINING THE BENT NAIL ATTACHMENT MEMBER ONTO THE RETRACTION AIR CYLINDER)

Peugeot RCZ View Top: It’s an RCZ with a Venetian blind for a roof

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

Magna Steyr is showcasing its technology with the Peugeot RCZ View Top Concept featuring a roof made of folding glass panels. The USP of the RCZ is its Zagato-esque double-bubble glass roof, a daring (and expensive)  design feature for a modestly priced production car. But what the double-bubble roof does is give a little bit of extra headroom in the back of the RCZ which makes it just about useable for vertically challenged passengers.

Lexus CT 200h by Fox Marketing gets a Supercharger and 300bhp You may recall, at the end of last month, we reported on the Lexus CT 200h by Fox Marketing, a pimped and tarted Lexus CT 200h which was going to feature a supercharger bolted to its HSD. At the time we had precious little detail beyond a photo of a CT 200h being endowed with go-faster body and primed for a paint job. But now, with the reveal at the New York Motor Show, we have a little more.

Tony Williams-Kenny announced as Design Director, SAIC Motor

Wed, 19 Jan 2011

Tony Williams-Kenny has been announced as the new global Design Director of Chinese automaker, SAIC Motor.  During his previous role as Design Director for SAIC Motor, UK, Williams-Kenny worked on various Roewe products, as well as being responsible for designing a new generation of MG models including the MG3, MG6 and MG Zero – the first concept car from the brand since 1985. When interviewed by CDN last year, we asked him how important design is in the company: "For me it's obvious SAIC gets the need for design and the need for a strong brand design relationship," he answered. "We have a really good review group at senior management level too, who actually want to be involved in design reviews and the decision making process." After gaining an MA in Automotive Design and a BA (Hons) in Transport Design from Coventry University in the UK in 1998, Kenny joined Mitsubishi Europe Design in Trebur, Germany as a designer.
