We are professional restorers of Corvette and Camaro alum intake manifolds. The first 6 pics are of this manifold the others are not, they just show what can happen when restoring one. This one is a beautiful intake for your 302 Camaro Z28. You want one that you won't have problems with you found it. Comes with new hose fittings, correct plug that goes in the hole beside the thermostat, 67's will have the temp sender installed there. None installed so you can see the threads are perfect. New carb stud kit, the choke thermostat and the vacuum fitting. It is not painted or clear coated. Show quality. All threads are perfect, the correct size and thread pitch. No cracks or welds. No corrosion in the water areas. Bolt holes to the heads are not sunken in from over use. The mounting surfaces to the head are straight and true with no corrosion. We have posted a some pics of issues that people will come up against when trying to restore one of these.  See those fittings and plugs. You will never unscrew  these as the alum threads will come out or gall up and crack the manifold. Those plugs will break off. How would you get that broken off plug out. I doubt you would without damage to the alum threads. The issues shown are not of this manifold. You can heat them, soak them, it won't matter as they expand when they rust. There is only one way to get them out safely and that's drill them out. We are able to do this and save the alum threads. What is that saying! Don't try this at home. There are 2 pics of a 69 Camaro manifold sent to us for repair, he tried to unscrew the hose fitting and damaged the manifold. Next pic shows it repaired. We always remove the shield for cleaning and inspection and reinstall it with new rivets. There is also a pic of a manifold that was in for restoration where the heat chamber had burned through. It couldn't be seen with the shield on. What if you had installed that on your eng, you would be pulling the eng apart and never find why it was smoking and blowing oil.  Save yourself some grief and don't buy one that hasn't been restored properly. We pack um up good but we can't ship our manifolds for $20 like some sellers are doing and insure them for you. No ebay or paypal account? No problem. Give us a call. Insured shipping with tracking provided.

Thu, 14 Apr 2011

The very sexy Peugeot SXC Concept It brings home how important – actually, crucial – the car market in China has become when you learn that car makers are building cars specifically for the Chinese market. Just last week we reported BMW, in collaboration with its Chinese partner Brilliance, has taken the already ‘Made for China’ LWB BMW 5-Series and turned it in to a 5-Series plug-in hybrid. A specific car for a specific market.

Fri, 01 Apr 2011
