Please be aware that due to very heavy fiberglass sales volume we are currently running approximately 2 weeks to ship from date of purchase. If this timing does not fit into your project's schedule please do not purchase this trunk lid kit. We do not want to cause you to miss your project's timing.

This is an all hand laid fiberglass trunk lid with built in spoiler and spoilered end caps. It fits 1967 and 1968 Mustang Coupes and convertibles.

During development we learned that all 1967 and 1968 Mustangs did not have exactly the same clearance or gaps between the trunk lid and the quarter panels and trunk lid and trunk filler panel at the rear window. We measured  different 1967/1968 Mustangs in our showroom and no two were exactly the same. Close but not identical. There could be from an 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch difference between cars. Our trunk lid will fit any original body panel Mustang but slight variances can exist. The next time you go to a Mustang show check out the trunk lid fit on 1967/68 Mustangs and you will see they vary.

If a Ford original trunk lid fits your Mustang than this fiberglass trunk lid will fit. It is metal reinforced at all mounting points. Stock mounting hardware can be used.   The end caps come with the mounting studs but they are purposely not installed. This is to allow the installer flexibility in adjusting the end caps to fit an individual car. All body shops have the materials to install the studs as they fit the trunk lid. The end caps can also be installed using high strength body shop adhesives. This has worked well for us. Your stock trunk lock mechanism and trunk hinges can be used. This trunk lid mounts exactly like a steel trunk lid.

All hand laid fiberglass trunk lids require more prep work prior to painting than a steel trunk lid. There can be minor low spots or a slightly textured edge. Our trunk lids require less prep work than most that on the market today.

YOU WILL SEE FIBERGLASS TRUNK LIDS WITH END CAPS BEING SOLD BY OTHER MANUFACTURERS FOR $495.00 TO $595.00 VERSUS OUR BUY IT NOW PRICE OF $395.00. WE CAN SELL A QUALITY TRUCK LID FOR CONSIDERABLY LESS BECAUSE WE PRODUCE LOCALLY AND HAVE NO INBOUND FREIGHT TO PASS ALONG TO YOU, THE BUYER. WE ALSO RUN A LOW OVERHEAD OPERATION AGAIN CREATING SAVINGS FOR THE BUYER. YOU GET A QUALITY PRODUCT FOR CONSIDERABLY LESS MONEY.

KOREAN car maker Kia has released a teaser image ahead of a big reveal at next month’s Detroit motor show. Keen to take a slice of the global sports car market, the firm is to unveil a racy-looking concept car. To date Kia has resisted producing anything overtly performance orientated, although earlier this year it dipped its toe in the water with the launch of the Pro Cee’d GT ‘warm hatch’.

Cadillac Ciel Concept - sybaritic style for Californians It’s not hard to tell the General Motors has found its Mojo again after losing it to Uncle Sam; all you need to do is take one look at the Cadillac Ciel Concept that’s turned up at Pebble Beach this weekend, probably the boldest Cadillac Concept since the Cadillac Sixteen. The Cadillac Ciel is a big, impressive four-seat convertible designed to epitomise the American Dream, as it cruises along the Pacific Coast Highway, cosseting its occupants in sybaritic style. But this is 2011, so there’s a nod to the eco-sensibilities car makers feel the need to embrace.

Honda's Rose Parade float to break length record

Thu, 26 Dec 2013

Soichiro Honda's company built its reputation on the backs of reliable, efficient, rather diminutive things. The Super Cub/Passport motorcycle. The wee 600s and the slightly larger original Civic.
