Concept Car of the Week: Lamborghini Marzal (1967)
Fri, 14 Dec 2012In 1967, Lamborghini's lineup consisted of just two cars – the Miura and the 400 GT 2+2 – but this wasn't enough for Ferrucio Lamborghini, who fancied a true four-seater GT to add to his stable. After the successful collaboration on the Miura, he naturally returned to carrozeria Bertone which was commissioned to design the car. The project was left in the hands of Marcello Gandini, who turned Ferrucio's vision into a revolutionary design concept.
Jaguar Project 7 F-Type is the Special Operations Goodwood reveal
Tue, 24 Jun 2014The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 revealed ahead of Goodwood FoS There were very few dissenting voices when Jaguar revealed their Project 7 F-Type Roadster Concept, homage to Jaguar’s D-Type, and it seems the almost universal approval of Jaguar’s creation has persuaded JLR that a production version of the Project 7 should be Jaguar’s first Special Operations division production car. And here it is. Due to be revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week, the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is a limited run, more powerful, more dynamic and more extreme version of Jaguar’s regular F-Type Roadster.
Renault-Nissan and Mitsubishi to join forces
Tue, 05 Nov 2013MITSUBISHI and the existing Renault-Nissan alliance are set to work together on a series of new cars. Discussions aren’t finished but as part of the deal Mitsubishi will get hold of a Renault chassis large enough to use as a base a full-size saloon for the North American market. The firms will also further develop an electric version of a Japan-only ‘kei car’.
