Almost 80% of drivers admit illegal acts behind the wheel

FOUR OUT OF FIVE drivers in the UK admit to driving illegally at some point in the past 12 months. Offences range from talking on a mobile phone while driving to having bald tyres on their car. In a survey by Flexed, 79% of drivers questioned said they had broken the law within the last year and a further 5% were not prepared to answer.

Vauxhall Zafira Tourer undercuts the S-Max on price We had the usual tease for the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer – Vauxhall’s answer to the Ford S-Max – earlier this year, with the Zafira Tourer finally turning up at the Geneva Motor Show in the Spring and a proper, production reveal a couple of months later. And it looks a convincing effort by Vauxhall to take the fight to the S-Max in the ‘Sporty’ MPV stakes. If any MPV can ever be considered a ‘Sporty’ proposition, that is.

GM to build Cadillacs outside the U.S.

General Motors CEO Dan Akerson said Tuesday that the company plans to begin building Cadillacs outside the United States by the end of 2012 as part of its plan to make GM's premium brand a true global nameplate. Akerson said overseas Cadillac production would reduce the risk of foreign-currency fluctuations and allow GM to better manage its supply chain. Although Cadillac long has been sold in China and other international markets, it's produced only in North America.
