Used wheels with average quality Chrome, some marks. Wheels are not curbed, bent, and have good lug holes. Some scratches in chrome on one wheel. No Center caps or trim rings which are available repro.
Rim Material:Chrome Plated Steel Number of Bolts:5 Rim Width:5 1/2 & 6" Bolt Pattern:5x4.5" Rim Diameter:14" UPC:Does not apply

This is a full set of four Chrome Styled Steel Wheels from a 1967 or 1968 Mercury Cougar. Wheels are 14 x 6" with a 4.5 inch Ford pattern bolt circle. Many sites list these as being 5.5 inch width, but in fact they measure 6 inches (see photo). Don't know why Ford listed them as 5.5, even the Kelsey Hayes stamp shows it as 6". These are real original wheels and not ones that have been welded together as originals are rivited (see photos). Chrome is average quality and would be OK for a driver. One has some scratches through the chrome on the spokes (see photo). I do not have any Center caps or Trim Rings, but both these are available reproduction. Wheels will need the insets and outer part of the rims cleaned and painted and they would then be pretty respectable wheels. Please LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY...they tell the story that they are not perfect, but still pretty nice for for being over 45 years old. A very nice wheel, reminds one a lot of a Cragar S/S, yet they were a factory option. A nice addition to your classic Cougar project.

These are heavy, so please check freight price before bidding. For this reason, this is a 48 state option. International customers email for shipping price before bidding.

Alfa Romeo MiTo & Giulietta 5 Year Warranty – but be quick

Sat, 07 Jul 2012

The Alfa MiTo and Alfa Giulietta are to get a 5 Year Warranty from Alfa Romeo in the UK – but there’s a catch. What is it that makes car buyers brand loyal? It’s a good question, and if there was an easy answer car makers would be stealing each others customers at will.
