Toyota to build Highlander hybrid in Indiana

Toyota Motor Corp. will invest $400 million to build a hybrid version of the Highlander crossover in Princeton, Ind. Toyota already builds the Highlander in Indiana but the hybrid Highlander has been assembled in Japan.

The Highways Agency is set to test wireless charging in moving electric cars on a UK motorway, according to Engineering and Technology Magazine. This would see electric vehicles gain additional charge as they passed over wireless charging nodes embedded in the motorway’s road surface. Tesla touts top sales at Detroit auto show

Tesla credits the "exceptional cold weather performance" of its Model S for 20 percent-higher-than-expected Q4 sales of 6,900 units, bringing total Model S sales worldwide to 25,000 so far. In fact, Tesla says its sedan does so well in the snow that the rear wheels are the only ones that need any torque.
