Hyundai Intrado revealed before Geneva

The Hyundai Intrado crossover debuts next week at the Geneva motor show, but the company revealed some pictures and information about the car on Monday. The Intrado is the first concept produced under the direction of Peter Schreyer, who became Hyundai president and chief design officer last January. Hyundai says the Intrado demonstrates the company's belief that advanced vehicle technologies and intelligent design can combine to engage with drivers and passengers.

With the 1980 Paris Motor show approaching and no new model to unveil, Citroën needed something to wow the crowds on its home turf. Trevor Fiore – who followed Robert Opron as the head of Citroën Design for a short time – gave the go-ahead for an innovative concept starting from a blank sheet of paper. The final concept was named Karin, and it was nothing short of breathtaking.

The new VW Golf R has been revealed and it’s the fastest version of the iconic hatch ever. The all-wheel drive flagship Golf now has 296bhp, up from 267bhp, with its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive sending the six-speed DSG version from 0-62mph in a feisty 4.9sec – matching the BMW M135i, but still shy of the Mercedes A45 AMG, which cracks it in 4.6sec. Why would I buy this over a Golf GTI?
