I am retiring and its time to sell alot of the goodies my late husband and I have accumulated over the years. Up for sale is a nice 1967 Chevrolet Impala AM Radio. The tag on the side of the radio is cut and has a partial Model #986---. There is a note on the bottom cover that says "Serviced -Plays Great! 1/09". We picked up this radio and alot of others over the years at various venues. I recently had it tested and it plays great up and down the dial. The case is clean with almost no rust. All mechanicals work as they should. The chrome nose, lens and pushbuttons are in nice condition. The radio comes with knobs as shown. Center to center distance on the shafts is approx. 6 1/4 inch. I'm selling it without a warranty because the electonics is over 35 years old and don't trust old electronics. I will be putting up more radios from my late husbands estate for sale this week and next week. The radio in the picture is the one you get. Please read description and ask any questions before purchase.  Buyer pays fixed rate shipping of $15.00 for USPS Priority Large Flat Rate Shipping (Lower 48 states only). I carefully wrap my radios in Bubble Wrap to insure safe shipping. I accept Paypal. Any questions, feel free to email me. Good Luck and Thanks for Looking!!      RA-391

The summit took place April 18-19 in the stylish Clarion Hotel in the heart of Stockholm, close to the 'Gamla Stan' or old town, and was enjoyed by around sixty delegates from the international automotive design community. The two-day summit opened with an interesting introduction by Sebastien Rosel, Product Manager from Dassault Systemes on the new Catia V5 software.

Porsche buyers put the brakes on stop-start technology

Mon, 23 Jun 2008

By Chris Chilton Motor Industry 23 June 2008 18:56 Direct injection and a clever new PDK dual-clutch gearbox have cemented the new 911’s reputation as the greenest performance car around, but Porsche engineers are being hampered from making the iconic sports car even cleaner by the public’s reluctance to accept further green technology Engineers at the launch of the facelifted 911 told CAR that fitting a BMW-style start-stop system could chop a further 10g/km from the Carrera’s 225g/km CO2 rating but that performance car buyers weren’t keen on having such overtly planet-conscious tech on their cars. Start-stop works by cutting the engine when the car’s stationary in traffic, and restarting automatically when you touch the pedals to move off again. Every manual transmission-equipped BMW 1-series comes with the technology, excepting the truly high performance versions.
