One Lap of the Web: More McLaren P1 madness, Nissan's cute Le Mans engine and get weird in a Subaru SVX coupe
Mon, 27 Jan 2014-- We drove the 2015 McLaren P1. We liked the 2015 McLaren P1. And in that sense, we've very much like Jay Leno, who toured the hypercar's hyper-futuristic factory in Woking, England before putting it through its paces on the track.
New 2015 Vauxhall Corsa revealed
Wed, 09 Jul 2014The new 2015 Vauxhall Corsa revealed – debuts at Paris The King of the supermini market in the UK is the Ford Fiesta, but the Vauxhall Corsa isn’t all that far behind and Vauxhall are doubtless hoping the arrival of the new Vauxhall Corsa in early 2015 will help steal customers away from Ford. Vauxhall hasn’t messed too much with the fourth generation Corsa, and although every body panel is new it’s still very much a Corsa. Yes, the nose is more ‘modern’ Vauxhall and there are changes everywhere when you start to look – like the ‘blade running down the lower doors – but nothing that will frighten off the existing 80,000 plus buyers the Corsa goes home with each year.
Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo (2011) launches
Fri, 09 Jul 2010The Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo 2011 debuted at Goodwood If you went down to the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend you may well have come across Alpina’s latest offering – the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo – which, following the news yesterday that BMW have retired the current generation (E60) M5 and that you’ll have to wait intil next year for the new M5 – is the only way to hop in to a brand new ‘Hot’ 5 series for at least the next 9 months. Not only is the Alpina B5 the only really quick 5 series on the market now, it will also be a lot less ubiquitous in the long run than BMW’s own M5. A lot to be said for that.
