1967 FORD DOOR MIRROR REMOTE CONTROL #C7AB 17743-B  EA-100021

HERE WE HAVE WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE A NICE LOOKING 1967 FORD REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR.  OTHER YEARS AND MODELS APPLY.  WE SPEND A FEW MINUTES WRITING OUR DESCRIPTIONS TO ACCURATELY REFLECT WHAT WE SELL.  PLEASE USE THE ZOOM FEATURE ON THE PICS AND READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION TO DECIDE FOR YOURSELF IT THE PRODUCT IS WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED BEFORE BIDDING.

WHILE NOT A PERFECT MIRROR IT IS ONE OF THE BETTER 1967s WE HAVE FOUND ALONG THE WAY.  IT DOES NOT HAVE A LOT IN THE WAY OF PITTING BUT THERE ARE A SMALL  DOTS. MOST OF THIS IS CONFINED TO THE INNER HOUSING AREA WHERE THE GLASS IS AND IS NOT SEEN DEPENDING ON THE POSITION OF THE GLASS.  THERE IS ALSO A LITTLE SCRATCH OR TWO UNDER THE CHROME AND ON THE EDGE OF THE STEM.  NOTHING OF HUGE CONCERN FOR MOST.  THE GLASS LOOKS GOOD WITH SURFACE SCRATCHES OFTEN FOUND IN MIRRORS OF THIS VINTAGE AND A COUPLE OF DISCOLORATION SPOTS.  THE REMOTE SEEMS TO WORK WELL AND MOVES THE GLASS FINE.  THE KNOB ITSELF HAS A LITTLE PITTING. AND OBVIOUSLY THE TRIM RING THAT GOES ON THE DOOR PANEL IS NOT THERE.  MIND YOU JUST ATTEMPTING TO BE AS HONEST AS I CAN.  OVERALL, THOUGH, IT IS JUST A GOOD LOOKING PART.   THE CABLE TO THE KNOB IS ROUGHLY 17 INCHES IN LENGTH.

I RATE IT A 4 MINUS ON A SCALE OF 1-5, WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY AND CONDITION.  VERY COOL WALL ART TOO!  NICE HARD TO FIND PART...   HONESTLY WE JUST DON'T FIND THESE. 

I AM honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old parts have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend a lot for a part the best you can do are look for those in good shape which this is.

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 10 years of selling over a 7000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

Novitec Alfa Romeo 8C Spider adds boost for a sensuous 600 hp

Novitec has laid hands on the near-perfect Alfa Romeo 8C to create the 8C Spider Kompressor, a car the tuner claims is the “most powerful street-legal Alfa Romeo of all time.” Heady words, but they're nicely backed up by a supercharged version of the 4.7-liter Alfa V8 cranking out 600 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque. That's up from approximately 450 hp and 346 lb-ft on a stock Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Tweaks supporting the force-fed mill include a water-to-air intercooler, custom injectors and revised fuel and ignition mapping, plus a variable stainless-steel exhaust system.

Zhong Boguang is one of the first designers to emerge in a country that has seen its importance augment considerably in recent times. But well before China became the biggest market for motor vehicles in the world, Boguang was obsessed with the pursuit of his car design dreams. During his 34-year career, he was involved in and witnessed the development of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), served as chief designer for China's first rotary engine cars and MPVs, been the design manager for the technology center in the first domestic automotive joint venture, and was the first person to launch strategic research in domestic automotive design.
