Dodge to get 40-mpg small car; touts mid-cycle product changes

Dodge is 14 months away from having a 40-mpg small car based on a Fiat platform. The tooling for that car was recently handed off to Chrysler Group's engineering department, Dodge CEO Ralph Gilles told journalists in San Francisco on Sunday. News of debuts at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show are starting to come in thick and fast, and although Subaru don’t have any world debuts to offer at Geneva, we will be seeing the European debut of the Subaru BRZ in production guise, as well as the first look in Europe at the new Impreza 5-door. The Subaru BRZ is the other half of the Toyota GT 86 partnership (the Toyota GT 86 will also get its European debut at Geneva) and, apart from some minor styling tweaks, is pretty much the same car as the GT 86.

Jaguar E-Type celebrates 50 years

As the Geneva motor show opens its doors to the press, it is quite apt that the Jaguar E-Type be honored by a new exhibition at the Design Museum in London, UK. Commemorating the iconic vehicle's 50th anniversary since it was first unveiled at the Swiss motoring exposition, the 'Tank' installation at the Design Museum has played host to many cars in the past, from the Model T Ford through to the Citroen C6, but none seem quite as fitting as the E-Type Jaguar. Possibly the most infamous car to come from Coventry, the E-Type is revered as a design classic and is still admired in droves to this day.
