I have for sale a 1967 GTO 400 cubic inch short block engine.
The engine is a YS code which is correct for a 335 HP w/auto
transmission. The engine stamp is partially visible as is the case with
many 400's, but you can clearly see the 86133 at the end. The date
stamp is October, 13 1966 which would be for an early 1967 car. I am
asking $1,500 or best offer.
The crank turns and is not frozen. Engine is being sold as a rebuild-able core. I had it looked at by a reputable engine rebuilder. There are no cracks or issues with the block. I can make no warranty claims beyond that, however. Engine includes what you see...block, pistons, connecting rods, cam & crank. I will have other components for the engines that will be available for sale, shortly. Oil pump, oil pan, timing chain, timing chain cover, water pump, valley pan, flywheel, non a/c fan, oil filter housing, etc. No intake or cylinder heads are available, so please do not inquire. I am willing to ship, but all shipping expenses and arrangements must be made and paid for by you. The shipping company will have to crate it and/or put it on a pallet. If I have to take it there it will be an extra $150. If you live within a reasonable driving distance (150 miles) AND have an engine hoist, I am willing to deliver the engine to you for $150.
