I am listing a matched set of Genuine GM 14x6 Rally II wheel JC code for cars equipped with drum brakes.  Wheels have been media blasted & with 3 coats of self etching primer, 3 coats of correct Argent Silver & Charcoal Grey, 3 coats of Satin Black on the insides of the wheels and 3 coats of Diamond Clear.  The trim rings are original Pontiac trim rings, not the later Chevy ones that are easy to find.  The center caps and the painted lug nuts are all NOS.

Wheels come with a beautifully restored set of ORIGINAL Pontiac (not Chevy) trim rings and look just as good if not better than ANY NOS set I've eer seen GM # 9781480, NOS center caps GM # 9787940 & NOS black painted lug nuts GM # 9789086

There is a lot of conflicting information out there on how these wheels are dated.  I have heard that no 1967 or 1968 wheels have date codes on the outside of the rim, but clearly that is not the case.  I am guessing that it depended on which of the plants they were stamped at.  The stamp on the inside of the rim is M4-6 (plant code), (1966) and M4-7, (1967).  There are also 3 numbers...1 11 18.  However, since all the 1968 wheels I have seen are stamped with an 8 for 1968 on the inside of the rim & these are stamped with a 6 for 1966 on the inside and 7 for 1967 on the outside, I am leaning toward these being 1967 wheels.

I am not really even looking to sell these, so lowball offers will be ignored.  My car was originally equipped with steel wheels/poverty caps, but what GTO doesn't look sharper with a set of Rally II's?  Therefore, if I can't get what I want, I'll simply keep them.

It's a gorgeous set of date matched correctly coded wheels for your 1967 or later GTO or Firebird!

These wheels will fit many Pontiac cars made from 1967-1972. Firebird, Tempest, LeMans, Grand Prix, 2+2, Catalina, Bonneville, etc... but please do your own research on those.

REASONABLE offers considered.

No returns please.

Thanks for looking.

Porsche Cajun: the 2-door coupe crossover

Tue, 12 Oct 2010

The Porsche Cajun Coupe Crossover It’s only a week or two since we finally discovered for certain that Porsche will be building an SUV / Crossover based on the Audi Q5. And we also discovered that instead of being the Porsche Roxster – which was always a bit of joke name – Porsche’s trendy crossover would be the Porsche Cajun. And yes, we fully expect the Porsche Chilli and the Porsche Jalapeno to join in at some point in the future.
