Fri, 19 Mar 2010

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 19 March 2010 13:34 Fiat has unveiled the all-new Doblo – the doyen of practical MPVs. Fiat has flogged a million since the first Doblo went on sale in 2000 and today's latest model adds some welcome polish to the acres of room in the back. It's a properly new model, with just 3% carryover parts from the last Doblo.

One in five suffers 'car envy'

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

DRIVERS in the UK are more likely to give way to classic or unusual cars such as a Citroen 2CV or Volkswagen Beetle, but one in five also admits they are less likely to be courteous to large 4x4s due to car envy, according to a survey. Nearly a half (47%) of UK motorists say they leave more space between their car and the one in front if the car ahead is driven by an elderly driver. Others (5%) admit to trying to slow down boy racers if they see the driver is wearing a baseball cap and is a young male.

Lotus CEO, Michael Kimberly, has told the Financial Times that Lotus is planning an electric car “sooner rather than later”, and went on to say that it will be an extended range battery vehicle. Extended range EVs (like the Chevy Volt) are probably the best option for a mainstream car at the moment, at least until you can buy hydrogen at the pumps other than in California.
