1967 Small Block Chevrolet 3892657 Z28 302 Block Or 327 Block on 2040-parts.com
Raeford, North Carolina, United States
This is a virgin block. It has not been rebored. I disassembled it myself. It had stock GM standard pistons, and the bearings were original standard size GM. I don’t believe it had ever been apart since it was built back in 1967. The cast number is 3892657, which was used on some 327s and used exclusively for the 1967 302 Z28. As you can see by the numbers, it was cast on June 30, 1967 (F307). The final assembly date is three days later, July 3, 1967 (V0703YW). The YW stamping indicates a heavy duty vehicle, such as a large truck or bus, and is not even listed in some books that list SBC engine stampings. This engine block can be restamped with the correct Z28 code markings. If you are looking to build a numbers correct 1967 Z28 302, here is an excellent starting point. |

Range Rover Evoque gets some new tech for 2014
Mon, 26 Aug 2013When the 2014 Range Rover Evoque goes on sale in just a few months, it's going to have a whole host of new technologies on offer. As difficult as it is to believe that the Evoque is already being updated with new technology (didn't this SUV just come out a little while back?), Land Rover isn't waiting around. Over 170,000 units have been sold in just 18 months, and this compact SUV is well on its way to becoming Land Rover's sales leader of the decade if this pace keeps up.

Wed, 04 May 2011The Volvo V70 gets a bit of added butch with the launch of the V70 R-Design The last news we had from Volvo was that the S60 & XC60 R-Design were going to get more get up and go. Sadly, the extra oomph was reserved for the US. Today’s news, however, applies to Volvos on both sides of the Pond, with a new top-end S80 being revealed – the Volvo S80 Executive – and a butch take on the V70 – the Volvo V70 R-Design.
Mercedes SLS AMG: The UK Video
Fri, 11 Jun 2010The Mercedes SLS AMG - the UK Promo Video below Now that things are finally starting to Rock ‘n’ Roll for the new Mercedes SLS AMG – Mercedes actually started building it in January – we’re getting some UK-specific stuff, which makes a change from Auto Bild telling the world the SLS AMG is the best looking car in existence. Mind you, it’s not bad looking. The video we have here – which is the first UK SLS AMG push we’ve seen – is nicely lit and edited (even if there is some CGI in there) and it certainly does the SLS no harm on the looks front.
