This auction is for: A vintage Genuine original 1968 1969 1970 Saab 99 Models Service Workshop Manual copyright Oct. 1970 by Intereurope London England, (not reproduction, copy or a cd) Covers all 1968 to 1970 Saab 99 models. This manual is in excellent condition--looks to be used very little, no missing, marked or ripped pages all pages and text bright and vivid. There are instructions and procedures for maintenance, adjustments, service operations, removal and installation of components. This softbound shop manual is roughly 2 inches thick and has many pages with 18 main sections and many subsections, including: Specifications/Tools, lubrication, service/Engine/Electrical system and instruments/Transmission/Brakes/Front assembly, steering device/Suspension and wheels/Body/Accessories and much more. With clear pictures, exploded view illustrations, wiring diagrams, schematics and specifications... These are what the service department mechanics used to work on these cars when brought in for servicing. There is nothing more comprehensive or complete than one of these.     It's the 2012 Mercedes B-Class in the dark When we get a tease for a new car it’s usually just a shadowy image of the new wonder with all the detail taken away, in case we use Photoshop to bring it to life. Just like the photo (above) we got in of the 2012 Mercedes B-Class. But this teaser photo of the new B-Class is not just a bit of PR frippery, as it comes with a proper raft of detail on how much effort Mercedes has put in to the new B-Class, and just how much is new.

    Ford once planned to race fiberglass-bodied Mustang touring cars

    Tucked away on page nine of the May 9, 1964 issue of Competition Press and Autoweek is an intriguing little story: “FIA Rejects Ford Bid for Homolgation [sic].” At the time, the Mustang had just made its world debut, but Ford was already scheming to fold the car into its “Total Performance” campaign. The automaker apparently proposed to do so with a fleet of crazy fiberglass-bodied touring cars. According to Competition Press, Ford tried to get the new Mustang classified as a touring car for international racing.

    Subaru stops sales of three 2012 nameplates for brake problem

    Subaru of America stopped the sale of 2012 Impreza, Legacy and Outback models on Nov. 25, following customer complaints about increased brake pedal travel. Parent company Fuji Heavy Industries says it is recalling around 3,000 cars already sold and delivered.
