Jaguar’s C-X17 crossover concept might have show-stopping looks, but it’s what will lie beneath the production crossover – thought to be called QX – that’s just as intriguing: an all-new aluminium platform, dubbed ‘iQ Al’. It’s a clean-sheet design, with double-wishbone suspension up front, and a multi-link axle at the rear. And the same goes for the ‘Racing’ version revealed this morning – the Citroen DS 5LS R – which is heading for a debut at the Beijing Motor Show later this month. Under the bonnet of the DS 5LS R sits the 1.6 litre petrol turbo found in the Peugeot RCZ, where it gets 270bhp, but Citreon have managed to boost that to 300bhp – which should make putting the power down quite interesting.

The Citroen Revolte Concept - the new 2CV? It’s looking increasingly likely that this new Citroen will revive the 2CV moniker. But that referred to ‘Two Steam Horses’, so unless this is one very eco car powered by a rubber band and a clockwork mechanism I guess the name will be there for nostalgic reasons rather than denoting anything specific.
