OUR REBUILD SERVICE WORK ON THESE GAUGES IS WARRANTIED FOR A FULL TWO YEARS!!!! TWICE AS LONG AS ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD!!!! Smiths BSA150 mile per hour GREYFACE speedometer and BSA Smiths GREYFACE 10,000 RPM tachometer. Bottom faces of these Smith's gauges are marked SSM 5001/05 on the speedometer and RSM 3003/06 on the tachometer. The speedometer only has .5 tenths of a single mile on it which was 'run in' distance only when it was on a calibration stand. The internal parts of these gauges have been removed, completely renovated and calibrated to meet the specifications of newly remanufactured gauges. The rebuild of these Smiths gauges included the following: The cans (cases) were professionally powdercoated to Concours quality standards. The cans do not have a single ding, dent or damage. Then the inside of the cans were painted with white epoxy paint (the only paint that will not peel, turn to dust) for many, many years. Then the blue, light enhancing, paint was sprayed on the one section of the inside the EXACT same way and in exactly the same shade as Smiths did it when these gauges were built. This gives a softer shine to the light rather than just harsh white light. The center aluminum buttons were polished and the correct shade of flourescent paint was added to the needles. Then NEW bezels, glass, upper and lower rubber glass sealing seals and new stainless steel chassis screws and washers were added, along with new internal and external shock absorbing rubber biscuit mounts and the stainless steel nuts and washers for the mounting of these to the stock BSA aluminum mounting bracket were then added. This whole package of gauges are ready to JUST BOLT ON AND GO!!!!. I understand these particular gauges are correct for all 1967, 1968, 1969 BSA A10, A65 models and A75 in 1969. Probably is correct for other years and models. But you are, ultimately, the only one that can decide if these are right for your particular application. Shipping is $13.00 within the 48 states. Will ship throughout the world using the US Post Office's Express International Mail which comes with full value insurance and it also comes with a tracking number for the buyer's and seller's peace of mind as you will be able to track the delivery progress all the way to your doorstep. Just use Ebay's ship[ping calculator to see the actual cost to your destination. You are, of course, also welcome to pick this item up locally for free. Any returns must be accomplished within 7 days of receiving item. Return must be the same item you were sent. NO SUBSTITUTION OF ITEM OR SUBSTITUTION OF ANY / ALL PARTS ON ITEM AND ITEM MUST BE IN THE SAME UNDAMAGED CONDITION AS PICTURED AND AS SHIPPED. Any substitution will invalidate seller's return policy and as such WILL NOT BE HONORED AS A VALID RETURN. I will gladly combine shipping costs on multiple wins. Paypal is payment of choice but I also accept other PROPAY, POSTAL, etc. Payment must be received within 7 days of end of auction. Any questions just e-mail me. Thank you and good luck on the bidding!!!

New McLaren F1 (P12) Official Specs?

Sun, 09 Sep 2012

We’ve got specifications of the new McLaren F1 (P12) which appear to confirm our earlier reports on its power and performance. Update: It seems the source of this story – an article on Jalopnik – was actually based on a spoof. So all we have is a mish-mash of best guesses and speculation and no new facts at all (see comments at the bottom).

Lexus sales rising strongly in Europe – up 33 per cent in Western Europe

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

The new Lexus IS (pictured) is leading Lexus’s sales growth in europe There’s lots to like about the Lexus range (even if we would like to see proper gearboxes proliferate), and it seems buyers across Europe are getting more and more enamoured of Toyota’s luxury brand. Lexus are reporting soaring sales in Europe so far in 2014, with sales up by 25.4 per cent over the same period in 2013 (and by 33 per cent in Western Europe) and the Lexus IS leading the way. Lexus IS sales were up to 6,923, followed by the Lexus RX SUV and the compact Lexus CT, with even the massively expensive Lexus LS chipping in 265 sales in the first six months of the year.

Lotus to invest £500 million to build Esprit, Eterne, Elite & Elan. 1900 new jobs

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

The new Lotus Esprit Dany Bahar – Lotus boss – revealed plans at last year’s Paris Motor Show to turn Lotus in to an East Anglian Aston Martin. Those plans included one car we knew about – the new Lotus Esprit – and a number we didn’t – the Lotus Eterne, Lotus Elite, Lotus Elan and a new Lotus Elite. But the plans seemed to be nothing more than a wish list, and although it was intimated that Lotus owners Proton were going to provide a war chest of £770 million to fund the development, that later appeared to be an intent to provide Lotus with funds to develop a new range of cars, rather than an actual commitment.
