for sale 1968 1969 console . original black console . Ive had this packed away for 30 + years . I cant find any crackes or repairs in plastic , except for bottom front mounting bracket . wood grain piece has a small hole drilled into it, lower righr corner, (see pic) if you apply new woodgrain it will cover it up. the woodgrain decal should be replaced anyway it does have some glue residue on it also. also small nick about 3 inches up from hole on black area , overall very clean console . i think this console has the original paint , cant guarentee it but it does have that satin finish, i will be listing more camaro parts on later. so keep watching my auctions. thanks ........

Ford names Freeman Thomas as Strategic Design Director

 Long-time DaimlerChrysler designer Freeman Thomas is joining Ford Motor Company from June 1. Thomas, 47, will become director of Strategic Design, reporting to Peter Horbury, executive director of Design, North America. Based in the company's Irvine, California studio, Thomas will lead advanced design teams in both California and Dearborn.

Fritz Henderson removed as GM CEO

General Motors' board of directors ousted CEO Fritz Henderson after eight months, saying it wanted to chart a new course as the biggest U.S. automaker pushes ahead with its restructuring. Chairman Ed Whitacre, 68, will succeed Henderson on an interim basis while a search for a new president and CEO starts immediately, Whitacre said at a press conference on Tuesday.
